overwhelmed....

Jan 29, 2008 00:13

i am taking a sanity break to sort of vent my frustration. Yesterday woke at 11, immediately got to work reading a paper for my thesis, finished paper moved onto making flash cards for my test that i have on tuesday (tomorrow). 4:30 rolls around i go to the gym. After gym, about 6 ish, I go to the optics lab to work on my economic geology lab. 8:30 have headache from microscope go home make dinner. 9:30 go over lesson plan for lab i am to teach following morning, make quiz for my students, compile videos of volcanic eruptions (which didn't work on crappy laboratory laptop). 11:30 begin studying for the tuesday remote sensing lab again (which i should be studying right now). 1:00 climb into bed, watch stargate on fox but review flashcards for test while i do so. Sunday total time awake 15 hours, time spent working on school stuff approximatly 13 hours

Today/Monday
wake 8:00 am, go to school prep lab for the morning class. 9:30-11:30 teach lab. 11:30 to 12 study for exam. 12-1 go out to lunch with geology department guest speaker. 1-3:30 work on GSA (geological society of america) proposal 3:30-4:30 review the GPS lab with the new TA (i am head TA) so he knows how to do teach it tomorrow. 4:40-5:45 Geology Coloquium (guest speaker presentation). 6-9:30 read papers for adv structure class, prepare summaries. 9:30-10:30 bath then shower, studied flash cards while in the tub... 10:30-12am finish rough draft of GSA proposal. 12-12:30 dick around on the internet.... only fun thing i have done all day. The rest of the evening is going to be devoted to studying for that test.

Tomorrow i have class from 11:30-6 then from 6 to when i get it done i have to finish my economic geology lab and probably revise my GSA rough draft. I doubt wednesday will be much better. I am exhausted and I am trying to fight a sinus infection that will probably get worse.

If grad school is going to be this insane for the next 3 semesters then it is going to be a long 1 1/2 years.... so tired.....
