My new plants arrived on Monday. I've planted the new honeysuckle by the old elder stump, and I've planted up the goth fern, which so far is only three or four little stalks, about three inches high. I cleared up some dead leaves and threw out the dead cotoneaaster, so the front looks tidier. Still have a couple of other things to plant out.
Went shopping yesterday with
soul_rider and her offspring. We had lunch in town and went out to Hobbycraft, where I bought stuff to embroider a picture for a friend in America I shall be visiting in September. I got stickers, ribbon for another project, needle threaders and a compartmented box for storing the assorted ribbons, buttons and other odds and ends which are currently living in decaying and dusty plastic bags, tucked into an old shoebox.
After a lovely time prowling Hobbycraft, we went to Meadowhell to indulge in the Ben and Jerry's free cone day. I had the strawberries and cookie dough, which was scrummy. We pottered about the lanes, and I got a new pair of earrings. Then home to sit around in an exhausted attitude.
