A fine city

Dad got the survey on the house in Fleetwood, and it's not good. Structural work needs to be done and Mum and Dad don't want the hassle or expense. So the move to that house is off. They're a bit undecided on whether to keep searching - I guess they might take a break, until Dad gets bored again.

Gary and I went to Norwich this afternoon. We started with three charity shops, located conveniently close to the bus station. I had a lovely, if rather expensive, time in Lakeland Limied - well, I had a £3 voucher to use up :)  We went on to one of my favourite second-hand bookshops, co-owned by a woman who also collects pony books, so the three of us had a nice chat about them, and books in general. Just over the way is Head In The Clouds, a wonderful, old-fashioned hippy shop, where I spent many happy hours browsing as a teenager.

By this time, it was 5.00 and we wanted a bite to eat and coffee after our shopping. Why do all the cafes start closing at 5.00 ?

Shattered when we got home, laden with clothes, books, kitchenware and chocolates as a 'thank you' for Mum.

This evening, I sorted through the box of games from the attic. Monopoly, Cluedo, Totopoly, The Game of Life and Battling Tops are all coming back to Sheffield.

books, shopping, games
