Absinthe question.

I want to buy my brother a great bottle of Absinthe for Christmas, but I know pretty little about it.  Is anyone an afficianado?  Can you point me in the right direction?

Lucid is the only one I've heard of that's sold in the US. It's fairly recently legal, so I don't know that there's a lot here now. Mine came from overseas, sorry. :)

I saw a fancy packaged bottle of it for like $60 at costco.

Any absinthe you purchase within the United States will more than likely not be true absinthe, as in the amount of thujone will be limited. Having said that, Lucid is probably one of the easiest to find and tastes about the same as the "real" stuff.

Vons has some, however I'm not sure how authentic it is.... I'm spoiled, I got my bottle from the Czech Republic
