AB 2279 has been ready to be signed into law for more than two months

AB 2279: Medical Cannabis Employment Non-Discrimination, which was passed by the Californina Assembly in May and by the California Senate in June, would protect the rights of hundreds of thousands of medical marijuana patients in California from employment discrimination.

The bill, which was drafted with assistance from Americans for Safe Access (ASA) Legislative Analyst Noah Mamber, leaves intact existing state law prohibiting medical marijuana consumption at the workplace and protects employers from liability by carving out an exception for safety-sensitive positions.

Now, even after more than two months, Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has yet to sign it into law.

Please http://gov.ca.gov/interact and ask him to take five minutes to pick up his pen and sign it!
