Samy, this evening I read your blog entries all the way back to the week before you left for Switzerland. I found many of entries comical and many informative. I am not sure about Rotary having moles, but do avoid the D's as best you can - seriously LOL.

Greg Herringer is my club's outbound exchange student for 09-10. Yesterday, he told me that he may select Switzerland as his first choice. He has met Eliane and I believe he is corresponding with her - they go to different high schools. He has also been corresponding with David Cranmer who is now in our District's Rotex group and was an exchange student in Switzerland a couple of years ago. Greg already knows Spanish, but he wants to go to Europe and learn a new language.

I am surprised that only about 3 students there knew about Facebook. Eliane and I were corresponding via Facebook a couple of weeks before she arrived here. She is very computer literate. I have occasionally corresponded with Prisca via Facebook as well.

I have a curiosity. At the end of September Eliane had a serious head injury. I wonder if you became aware of her accident. I wondered about this after reading that your brother was ill. I hope that he is well on the mend.

Another curiosity. How was Obama's inauguration received in Switzerland? It of course was huge news here and totally dominated the media for the entire day. Our daughter, Rachel, 22, is living at home for now after graduating from Uni. of CA, Santa Cruz last Summer. Rachel, my wife, Trudy, and I drank a couple of bottles of "sparkling" wine in celebration.

It appears that you are adapting well to your school and to your 2nd host family.

Myself, I miss having Eliane here, we became very fond of her. But, she appears to be very happy with her 2nd host. She changed one of classes this semester to guitar. The class is a year long so she started mid-course. At the end of the first week, her instructor gave the rest of the class a hard time because Eliane had already caught and surpassed them. Linda, her current host mother, says that she has been practicing like crazy. Musically, and otherwise, Eliane is very talented.

Oh yea, we heard about your craving for Peanut Butter and that someone from the US had sent some to you. We were not able to get Eliane to try it even though everybody here has been telling her has not truly experienced the US until she has had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.

Enough for now. Mike

Well I am happy you find it funny. I try my hardest to keep an . . . honest voice, ya know?

As for Eliane, I did hear a little bit about it. I sent a prayer to my bible study in the USA because they asked me if there was anything I could ask for. :)

We read Obama`s speech in my English class . . . and though not many people watched it every asked me if I watched it (I did.) Teehee, I wore my Obama shirt to school and everything.
