its christmas..
yeah so its christmas day..so i thought why not write another entry..hmm..well for most of the xmas celebration was spent at home having lunch with the folks and receiving my first xmas present..money..yipee..to which i will prolly be wasting in the near future to fuse my alcohol addiction and partying..i was actually flipping through channels on the good old box when something caught my eye..something that was once my obssession then Arrested Development took over..a little musical called Hot Shoe Shuffle..ahh the good old days before Adam Garcia was ever apart of Coyote Ugly..yeah all the memories came flodding back..me singing all the songs..haha..but i actually realised when watching it that i really wanna continue to dance..had a rough patch before and wanted to give it up..watching Dein and his brother Sheldon and how successful Hot Shoe Shuffle and Tap Dogs were made me wanna stick to dance coz i actually really love it..never thought i did..just thought i was good at it..but yeah..so if i do continue to study it at like uni or private college..i think it would be so beneficial to me and would broaden my knowledge of it..and maybe might open up a lil dance school..
nah..i was gonna consider stuyding film at Sydney film school..but thought i dont know jack about the film industry i just watching a whole tonne of films..
but im working on the dance thing as a career maybe?? im trying to track down Adam Garcias old dance school..i might go there and check it out..still looking around..though its in Hornsby..yeah so as i came on here to look up some Hot Shoe Shuffle merchandise i came across this site and a suvrey was put up so i decided hey what the hell might as well fill it out..so here it is..
1) What makes a great dance school for you? that its a friendly environment, great teachers, its a place where u can enjoy yourself.
2) Why styles of dance are your favourite? jazz, tap, hip-hop
3) How far would you travel to dance? i would travel even to the American Ballet Academy in New York if i could..but i dont do ballet..some maybe either QLD or Melbourne
4) Where would a great location be for an elite dance school that you would attend? somewhere in Sydney..coz theyres only ballet..umm..maybe in the city..not a far distance..
5) What suburb or city do you live in? Sydney, Botany
6) What would you like to see featured in your favourite dance school? performance opporutnites, workshops, guest teachers/choreographers
7) Do you attend workshops? yes..ive been to quite a few
8)Are you a student, employed, unemployed or retired? unemployed at the moment but was/will be a student
9) How many classes do you do a week? depends..sometimes once or twice..or 3 or 4 times..
10) Anything you don't like about dance schools, teaching techniques or otherwise? not really the dance school but the attitude in general..like people can be so up themselves and snotty..and like soo competitive or are like complete tryhards..or just plain bitchy..as for technique..i dont like if u miss a lesson your expected to catch up..but i guess thats wat usually happens..unless its extenuating cirucumstances..i like going to classes where u can have fun and avoid all the other crap that goes on..
