And I haven't updated in weeks!
I went to Buffalo Grove with Sarah yesterday to hang out with our GV pals, Brian and Greg. We met up with their friend Mike (who is seriously my music twin. Crazy.) and all went to Chipotle for consumables.
On the way back, we had Brian's ipod and were just sitting in the car singing all these songs together, it was really cool, because I've never hung out with these guys all together before, and Mike is pretty entertaining.
We got back to Greg's, played some guitar hero, watched some videos, I showed them Garfield Minus Garfield (the guy goes back and takes Garfield and Odie out of all the strips, so it's just Jon talking to himself. Hilarity. http://garfieldminusgarfield.net/ )
I didn't get home til after 2:30, and because I'd gotten up at 5:15 to go to work (yeah, I know) that means I'd been awake for over 21 hours. What. I think it was the iced tea I drank at Chipoodle that helped me. But I definitely fell asleep for part of the car ride home and would occasionally somewhat come to and just agree with what Sarah was saying and drift off again like, "Mulan is totally the raddest Disney princess" and "Yeah, I'll for sure introduce you to my cute guy friends" (what cute guy friends? :-P )
But Molly and I got together the other night too, played some Trivial Pursuit (I "won", but not really, I forget what exactly happened, but it was a sordid game.) and some cards with her fam and their friends.
Mmm, also I got StumbleUpon which is pretty cool, and helps with the summer boredom (which happens in all 2 hours that I'm away from work and not sleeping or eating.)

her work is so cute, she used to work for Disney, actually, so a lot of her art reflects that. But I got her to do a colored pencil piece of me hugging a penguin in the middle of New Orleans, because it involves 2 of my life goals (hugging a penguin and living in New Orleans). So I'm really excited for that and will definitely post it up here when I get it!
Also, I had another idea for a picture...me and Christopher Walken on a dinner date, I have a purse hanging on the end of my chair, he has a cowbell on his.
