Vickie got me to realize that I haven't updated for a long time, again.

Sorry.

Anyways, I sent in my application to USAC, the go-between school, connecting me to Thailand, along with a deposit and all that.

My housemate broke up with her butt-chin obnoxious boyfriend (YES YES YES) and she's been in a lot better mood, actually saying hi to me and stuff. cool.

I got tickets for me and Brian (originally Kate) to see COLBERT REPORT!! April 28th! It's right after finals are done and school's out, so we'll be going to New York and staying in a hostel for a couple days. Oh I'm so excited. I've never been to NY and he's never been on a plane...so, we'll be an interesting duo.

I went home for Easter weekend and it was pretty nice. We didn't leave til Saturday because, THANKS A LOT MICHIGAN, it snowed Friday. Awesome. But it was good to be home for a little while at least. Poor Dino isn't doing too hot.  Something's wrong with his intestines, maybe? And he's just stopped eating altogether. He used to be on the heavier side of 13 lbs and now he's around 8. :-(  It's hard because we've had him since I was 9 and he's really grown to mean a lot to me, and that was actually one of my fears of me going to college, that something will happen to little Dino while I'm gone and I won't be there.  I mean, I know he's a cat and school is more significant, but he's really important to me, and I hope he gets better soon. He's only 14, and I thought cats generally lived to around 18 or something, so I think there's a good possibility he'll be ok.

Jae has been saving up money to visit me while I'm gone and that would be amazing. Right now the Travel section says it's roughly $700 for a roundtrip flight there, which isn't bad at all, so I'm hoping by the time he'd get a ticket (Thanksgiving break) it'll be that, or cheaper, as it's the rainy season.

I also think that Grand Valley students have a higher chance of getting burnt out more than kids at other schools. I mean, we don't have a fall break, any time off during first semester (besides Labor Day) isn't until Thanksgiving, so that means it's about 3 months of straight school. In the winter it's 2 months until spring break, with no small breaks before or after, until the end of the year in late April.  I wish we could at least get some 3 or 4 day weekends in there once in awhile.  All of this straight school can't be good.

Actually, I KNOW it's not good, this past winter got me so depressed, there was always work and always snow and no sun at all. Ugh. I feel like I had a touch of that Seasonal Affective Disorder or something.  Last year I coped just fine, but something about this year was different.

Maybe it's because I live in a cave of an apartment.
