Hm.

My mom and I went out Christmas shopping today and we stopped in Barnes & Noble and she mentioned about getting an Ann Coulter book for my dad.
I feel that Ann Coulter, and all that write the way she does (both liberal and conservative) are pretty much what's wrong with the world right now.

I feel that instead of having books with titles like, "How To Talk To a Liberal (If You Must)" we should be working to get along better and improve relations between parties, because the state that our country and let alone the WORLD is in today, there's no time or space for us to be picking sides and bashing the opposing one.

This is especially apparent in email forwards with things like, "What you didn't know about Hillary" and I'm sorry if I sound like I myself am being one-sided mentioning Republican things, but, at least the people I get these types of emails from (my grandma) I don't hear a whole lot of Democratic ones, although I'm positive there are such.

Now, I don't even know if my grandma pays attention to these that much, because talking to her, it's weird to think that my dad could have become such a conservative guy (in comparison to her), and I wonder if part of that is because she is a woman. And before you start sending e-daggers my way, I'm only saying that because she's gone from being married and very successful to divorced and living on her own, to being remarried, to divorced, remarried a third time...I mean, basically, she knows what it is to be in different tax brackets, not that that's the only way to have an understanding of both sides, but I also think that she'd have a different take on abortion and things relating to morals and religion than a man of her age would, as I'm kind of under the impression that old men don't want to talk about abortions. But maybe they do. Who knows.

Anyways, the point I'm getting at is that we're getting nowhere fast by picking sides and pointing out all the flaws in the other. This is a time, more important than ever, when we have global warming, new babies by the millions, not enough arable land, incredibly uneven distribution in poor nations and a plethora of other things (on a global scale and nationally) that by not cooporating, we're only harming ourselves.

I ended up buying him I Am Legend.
