Lovely weekend
I spent Friday evening on a date with senssuzy. There was movie-watching, a bath, and snuggling. After a rough week at work (seemed like five days long, though it was only four), it was a nice way to unwind and transition into the weekend.
On Saturday afternoon I picked up kovee at her house and drove her up here. There was snuggling, and sushi, and movie watching (Monty Python and the Holy Grail and Secretary), and more snuggling, and sleep, and more snuggling the next morning. I spent some time reading Infinity and More to her and to Suzy. We took some pictures of Kovee wearing some of Suzy's jewelry, which Suzy plans to put up on her business website. I also loaned Kovee copies of Equal Rites and Mort. She says the Discworld books suck her in and make her forget that time's passing. They have that effect on Suzy and I, too.
Suzy got me a nice gift: Here Come The ABC's, on CD and DVD. I love everything by the Giants, even the kid stuff. Kovee and I listened to some of the CD in the car as I was driving her home. What a contrast--from a discussion of infinity and irrational numbers, to singing vowels.
I then stopped by to have dinner with zaratyst, mholmesiv and co. I understand I have zondrrrah to thank for the cooking, which was quite good. I just missed him; he was leaving as I arrived. After dinner was hot-tubbing with Zara and silenceleigh. And then home to further unwind by writing email and chatting online and writing an LJ post or two.
