My Week So Far

Jul 26, 2007 05:51

This week I finally managed to gain some motivation by going out alone while my boyfriend works. Other than having the money for it, my spirits were quite high as I talked to a few people here and there. Monday was my plan to see the Transformers movie, but instead I went the next day. Here's my little review about it.

The very beginning explained something about the cube that holds the key to anyone's fate, which is something I didn't remember when I was little. Back then I used to watch the cartoons a lot, and still loved them to this day mostly. And the dialogue between the humans were very cheesy, but things really do pick up further into the movie. Bumblebee as a Camaro was really cool, Optimus Prime...awesome as always, Starscream is just as annoying as ever, Megatron looks real sexy (don't ask why, he just does), and my only real disappointment is WHY ISN'T SOUNDWAVE IN THE MOVIE! Overall, I really enjoyed it, and wouldn't mind getting the DVD.

My next movie mission: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
I've been told that the books are better, but I'm sitll not affected by the Harry Potter hype unfortunately. Maybe when my mind opens up a little more to the books, I'll read them one of these days.

As for the food in the theater, it would be best of I just eat something before leaving the house. The popcorn somehow didn't taste well to my standards...but their icees are good though.

What else did I do... oh yes. After the movies I went to Hot Topic to look for Cure magazine. Although I did find a couple of copies there, that issue was made back sometime in 2006, and selling them for 15 bucks a copy (expensive? hell yeah). I'm planning on buying it next week after the movies, and receiving more money. I even went to Books-A-Million to find the book I wanted for a very big bargain. I was happy that they still have those copies and couldn't resist buying one. The book's name is called The Sight by David Clement-Davies. So far I only read a few pages, and I'm really liking how it starts. Probably later on today I'll continue reading it during my break.

As for my family, my dad wanted me to call...so I did (almost an hour before the current time of writing this entry). It turned out that my brother got accepted to AUM, but the result of getting into the school of nursing is still pending. Which reminds me...I need to get a money order to take care of the final step of my application.

For now...I bid you adieu. ^_^
