i am back!!
three shows with kill me tomorrow and dance disaster movement. five shows with attractive and popular. a bunch of shows by ourselves. greatest time of my life.
seeing the coast was amazing, we went to the beach in san diego one day-- it was beautiful. later that night we went to ocean beach and saw old time relijun at this really cool art warehouse space. this crazy perfomance art group opened up for them. it was complete insanity. we played at this house party in san diego with seven other bands and about five hundred kids. 2 dollar drinks. our los angeles show got cancelled, because the club got shut down. we went straight on to santa cruz. we drove for a whole day straight and arrived at this warehouse space... with about 100 kids shoved in. after we played kids came up to us to say it was the best show they've seen in their lives. it was quite funny. great show. the fourth day of our tour we met up with this band attractive and popular. they're really good dancepunk. they lost their bass player, so i learned all of their songs and filled in for him for about four shows of the tour. it was a whole crapload of fun. on one of our nights off, we went on down to juarez, mexico, and it was a blast. i got COMPLETELY tanked on tequila. we went to a raunchy strip club with the attractive and popular kids. what a great time.
we came in to portland, oregon a little early--- and were able to get a spot playing live in this college radio show. we got to play five songs live, and then finish out the hour with some selections from their enormous music collection.
we went on to denver and played at this rad art space with a san diego band--- business lady. they were completely rad. a couple of our later shows got cancelled, so we had to come home a little early.
now i'm back in denton, and don't have to go back to work for a week. to top everything off, esther is moving back to denton tomorrow.
