Dio a day 1
I have just discovered the music videos for Ronnie James Dio. I will be posting them here, in what I hope will be an at least weekly blog until I've seen them all.
Today's selection, "Holy Diver" is the epic tale of Dio and how he enjoys walks through burnt churches while holding a sword. Some of his other hobbies include scaring batlle-axe weilding lepers into submission with a swing of his sword and fighting the paper cut-out demons within him while volcanoes explode on a blue screen in the background.
Dio is deep like that.
Overall I give this 3/5 devil horns. While Dio is a badass with a sword and he knows it, why would someone with as many magical abilities as him have the need for a blacksmith?
Couldn't he just make a new weapon by harnessing the power of the elements?
Also there were not enough scenes of Dio kicking as much ass as he does in real life. Everywhere he goes he leaves a trail of destruction behind and that needed more emphasis. In fact, when they started filming this video that church was brand new and all the extras were alive, but Dio showed up and everything exploded. True story.
