[Souji was holding a small brown book against his chest. He was looking worried as he was looking for someone. He had been in strange places before, so he should be used to moving about.]

Mister Hijikata? Did I finally make it home? I found your you-know-what~ [Souji waved the brown book around in the air before setting it back against his chest.]

Mister Hijikata! I've finally found you! [Souji was about to wrap his arms around the older man but stopped himself right away.] Uh, before I came here...they stole it again and I went to get it back for you~

[He looks unconvinced] "They". Tch...[grabs the book]

Have you been looking for me long?

Shinpachi and Sanosuke~ [He smiled before the book was snatched away from his hands.] Uh, just a few months. I was getting worried about you~

Right. [Hiding that book so you can't get at it any more]

A few months? Where have you been?

[deadly_souji]

[Souji smiled as always.] Off in another world. It was kind of lonely, but I learn to meet a few new friends.

I can't say that's too much of a surprise. [This Hijikata has black wolf ears and a matching tail, which he most certainly didn't back in Japan]

Uh..are those real? [Souji asked rather curiously, resisting the urge to touch them.]

[The tail twitches a little, and the ears droop just a bit at the impending embarrassing petting and whatnot] ....Yes. A side effect of the world we've been in recently.

But...Mister Hijikata! You look so cute! [His face flushed a little as he wrapped his arms around the other.]

[Doesn't push Souji off, though now he's got confusing thoughts about whether Souji would get possessive about other-Souji hanging off of him, which he probably wouldn't because Souji is silly, but now his head hurts a little and anyway this is kind of humiliating]

I'm not cute.

[deadly_souji]

[Souji gave him a little nuzzle before getting off of him.] I think it suits you~ You should look that way more often. [He was just teasing here.]

[Siiiigh] I look like this all the time now. For the last half a year.

What? Really? And here I thought it was going to be temporary! Unless it is...hmmm...

It isn't temporary. Presumably if I get home, they'll go away, but that doesn't look likely.
