this long needed break
I have this entire week off, my first vacation in four years. I needed this time off, as I work with some of the most trans phobic curmudgeons on the face of the planet but I am bound to the job by the fact that I have insurance and cannot afford HRT without insurance. Oh ya and the job market really sucks big time along with the economy. So anyway Im using this time to work on my films, alot of drawing, checking on potential replacement jobs, couch surfing, comiserating with friends that mean the world to me, reading (Trotsky,Lenin,Marx,and Luxemberg), celebrating my birthday...basicly getting to act like a human insted of a machine for a change. Im spending more and more time in Chicago, its only a matter of time, I will eventually live there. Im thinking either Rogers Park, or Logan Square...but we will see how all that goes down when the time comes. Falling in, and joining the ISO has been a good thing of late, finally to be among likeminded people that dont base their lives and image of self on what they can aquire in place of an actual life. It seems that the vast majority of the population was sold this bill of goods that dictated that what you own is who you are...this lie has run its course and people in large numbers are rejecting the idea of consumerism= life. I am doing my part to help bring things back to a more realistic place, a place where value is put on the person rather than what can be exploited from them. Activism has made my life so much fuller, and I have met so many new and interesting people through it
