silver anniversaire
so apparently yesterday was my birthday. who knew?! well obviously i did since i'm writing about it. i think that happens when its "your" birthday. anywhoo my day was gre....good. did the usual attend mass for my bday thing, finally got the donut i've been craving, and went to work. work on my birthday?! sadly yes. vacation time is scarce and i'm not about to waste it for the anniversary of my date of birth. anyways i'm taking off days next week for some world-class ball stroking. mmm..ball stroking.
at work my cube was vandalized, as expected, with images per to my liking. previous years i had a batman theme and a federer/french them. but this year i chose the theme of: jason mraz avec the musical quartet of davey, jade, adam, and hunter - otherwise known as afi. its a be-you-tee. much props and thanks to camille g's mom for the lovely decor. je l'aime beaucoup! the images just bring a big smile to my face, especially the afi/birthday cake pic. classic. hopefully i can keep the decor up as long as possible, or until it's someone else's bday and they need the bday signage.
and right on schedule, at 3/8 3:08, i got my cake, which i ate too! it was oh-so gooood. mmm...chocolate dobash. kings' hawaiian cakes always rocks my socks. unfortunately i only got a pic of it after the carnage. i tried to make it say "christ" but someone really wanted t.
enfin, my day ended on a high-note, i guess, when mother earth presented me this beautiful image. i love the ocean and with the backdrop of the sunset, the image is awe-inspiring. if you look carefully at the pic, how fitting the sign shines so clearly.
and thank you everyone for the birthday greetings. those words of acknowledgment most definitely made my day. i'm so grateful that y'all remembered me, even if facebook did remind you :)
