When you are writing an entry, there's a security level drop down box or some sort all the way on the bottom. Set it to friends. If you don't want to do that for every entry you write, which I would assume you don't, which is quite obvious...go to the Admin Console: I'll even link it for you. Go Here. Make sure you're logged in before you go to the admin console. Now..type: set newpost_minsecurity friends
