I've taken up residence at Pete's Tavern, or the "Seventh Heaven" as the survivors are calling it. If this is Heaven, I'd hate to see what Hell looks like. I've met a few people, and made contact with two very important people. My little sister Claire, and my old teammate Rebecca Chambers. It's so good to see them again. Not to mention running ( Read more... )

Unless you're interested in growing extra body parts I wouldn't recommend the fish.

What do you mean?

A couple weeks back an old aircraft carrier sank in the bay. Killed most of the fish in the area with what leaked out of it. Anything still alive probably has enough chemicals pumped in it to make the T-Virus look like a beauty cream.

Wait. An aircraft carrier sank, and we're drinking water that's running through the city supply?

If I start glowing in the dark, I'm not going to be a happy camper.

The tap's fine, I tested it after the ship went down. The city either has a treatment facility that the water runs through or there's an outside reservoir. Probably both, considering the population.

You're certain?

Do you need me to drink a glass of water in front of you to prove how certain I am it's not going to kill us?

That depends. Would you do it if I asked you to?

I just offered to do it, didn't I?

I'll take your word for it. I'm just pulling your leg.

How's our bottled water situation?

One full case left of sealed water, and I've been filling up every bottle we've got in the apartment plus anything else I can find, just in case the water decides to go off again. Divided between us all though, it'd probably only last about two weeks.

We need to start collecting rainwater and boiling it, then sealing it up. We'll need a stockpile for drinking as well as medical use.
