Another trans guy goes online...

Well, thought a little live journal life might be good for the soul. Plus it gives me the chance to comment on other people's journals instead of being the silent reader.

After lots of full-time work and fundraising, I am off to my surgery date in two weeks. It is all very exciting, if only the strange dreams of surgical mishaps would stop (last nite they accidentaly liposuctioned my arms, a few nights before that they just gave me a reduction instead of finishing the job).

Oh, and for the record, if anyone out there is still suffering from the illusion that Canada is not a racist country steadily increasing the amount of immigrants and refugees it is deporting and harassing- sorry to burst your bubble, but we are headed down that 1950s McCarthy path right beside the U.S.A. People of color, already long fucked over by the bureaucracies of our colonial gov't, are now facing more and more trouble.

As a Jewish trans guy who learned endlessly from my grandparents and family how important it is to open borders to people who need/want to get in.
Trans stuff is really really important to me. But showing solidarity and support for others who are being fucked over is where the bottomline is at for me.

So I am off to figure how/if I can be useful in this huge tidal wave of racism and intimidation.

later.
