I would attempt to be supportive by saying something like being engaged or married is over-rated, but I think that coming from me (who shudders at the thought of commitment or anything that really suggests dependence on a partner; even if that implication is not entirely factual or is outright false) it probably wouldn't be super helpful. You have been the light in his heart for a long time, so it stands to reason that you'll be the light in his heart forever -- even if that light doesn't come with a ring (resisting temptation to rant about diamonds) today, tomorrow, next week, next month, or next year. There's plenty of time for that other stuff, and it's best to enjoy your youth while you still have it. Finally,Tim loves you, and I know you know that's what matters.

And I will stop trying to help now, because I know I'm not really that great at it. ;b

Also, while I'm typing (and mostly because I didn't catch you on AIM today)... As one of my best friends, I'd like to invite you to join in my complete and unabashed dorkiness here.

I wasn't really looking for assistance - but I agree with what you said and I know that its true. Like I said - I'm accepting it.
Yah! I'm part of a ya ya sisterhood!

Sometimes acceptance needs reinforcement, and I'm sure I could be a retaining wall. It's funny how a lot of my analogies turn to ... building houses.

Do you have any free free-time this weekend?
