But ya know what? Fuck it. It’s time for a new leaf. If I’m gonna die bored, lonely, and unfulfilled; I should probably try and find a way to deal with that. I think it was Al Gene from the Simpsons production team that said about life “You know what? You’re not gonna win. You can’t win. And that’s OK! It’s just fine as long as you don’t have to, to be happy.” Or something to that effect. I dunno.
I’m sure that sounds pessimistic. I don’t think it is though. I just think accepting the likelihood of defeat frees one to try their best without the encumbrances of self worth….at least that’s what all the summer camp movies from the 70’s and 80’s have taught me. Especially Meat Balls, Meatballs IV, and Heavyweights. those moveis changed my life.
