Ahh, the good life…

Work last night was as mild as it could get. I was pleased but sleepy.

After being awoke early to help gramps move a bed and a couch, I went to work. I took the catering fund to the store and was about half done finding all their random shit when Sean calls (having a cell phone pays off big time here) and says that all Jimmy Chamberlin wants is Gatorade, chips, and red bull (like 24 red bulls). I was just, “YES!! I’m done then!” So I get back, stock the dressing room, give the bands their meal buyouts (drop trio had no idea what I meant by giving them 18 dollars for nothing, but whatever), and stood around for a few hours. I counted up merchandise for the vendor fee, got a bunch of people their dinner, and stood around for another few hours. Jimmy Chamberlin Complex wasn’t too bad. I could have done with a few less jazzy riffs, but it was pretty listenable…at least from the next room. The show ended at like 11:15, I counted out my petty cash and receipts (fucking had 87 pennies. It took like half an hour to balance), got paid and was out by 12:30.

I went to the proletariat for a beer and really couldn’t have cared les that it was deserted. I was just glad to sit down in the corner with a beer and listen to some R&R, breath and be still and silent.

Today I will be reassembling and updating my resume. If anyone has any leads to where to send it, or wants to hire me, let me know.
