I don't normally post in parts but there's a good reason I'm doing it now. Rest assured, it won't be 38 chapters. It won't even be 5 chapters ( Read more... )

Wow...I am not quite sure what to say. That was just...so fantastic. Then again, all your writing blows me away. Even unbetaed, its amazing. I cannot wait to see what happens. This was a great Thanksgiving treat. :)

Thank you very much for reading and liking this. This was so off the cuff, I was nervous about posting it. Thanks!:D

This is wonderful. I hope there will be more parts. The interaction between them is so interesting and tender and harsh and exciting, and this is just so nice to read after months of not being able to find anything I can relate too.

As time goes by it's clear to me that Cordelia loved Angel in ways that Buffy never did, or maybe never could, and I think the difference is that her love for him was selfless,
"which is ironic, considering the source..."

"which is ironic, considering the source..."That might be my most favorite Doyle-about-Cordelia line ever. I love that you quoted it to me, lol ( ... )

Doyle and Cordelia! So much untapped potential. It's one of my favorite quotes too and I absolutely love the first 9 episodes of season 1. The affection between David and Glenn burst onscreen, much like David and Emily's in Bones.

"Two or three at best" is very good. I find it much more effective than a never-ending story.

And no, Angel never left Cordelia, and certainly would have fought for her if only they haven't given her such a crappy ending. The only upside is that wonderful wonderful kiss at the end of "You're Welcome". Best closure for characters and actors alike.

Dear Gods in Heaven- or Hell, as the case may be :P

You take rawness to a whole new level. Tearing the soft and shiny wrapper off to reveal the not-so-pretty emotions that are mostly hidden from prying eyes.

I always wondered if Angel ever drew Cordelia (S4 time aside: yup, saw that particular scene) - especially in that way. hoo boy *fans self*

He drew Buffy who he once loved- he even drew Darla who he didn't. (before anyone refutes that, he actually said it in the show)... So I go for belief that he had to have- particularly at times when situations caused enforced seperation.

The images... A normal human being and it would be frightening as well as a sure sign of a seriously unhealthy mentality - Calling the police/reaching for the protective gun kinda feeling.

But with regards to Angel, it fits. Fits so well, and thus you can't help but be drawn to that side of him even as you shudder a little inside. After all, the soul only added another layer to the total sum.

*licks chapter and drools in anticipation for more*

S xx

Thank you for such amazing feedback, Cali. I'm not sure if I'm worthy but I'll take it all the same.

I do think he drew Cordelia, at least my Angel did, and I remember that season 4 ep - the brooding way he stared at his sketch afterwards. And I'm glad you get that with Angel, that this kind of 'artistry' is inherent and is something that just comes with being him.

And I thought my morning couldn't get any better -- seriously.

Gunn just looks focused. He wants to kill, gripping his axe tighter, seeing his sister in every one of her visions. Alonna -- what an amazing connection to make.

The rebar! That struck me, painfully, perfectly. And this:

He doesn’t know she’s there half the time, lost in the blood drenched memories of his past, looking for some fresh way to feel unworthy of the discovered Shanshu. I love the way you express Cordy's practical sensibilities here.

And this is so perfect: the shock of recognition needles through her flesh Love your language.

Love your Cordy.
Love this.
Love you.

This day really can only go downhill now because I think I'm at the peak.

You have no idea how much your feedback means to me, and how thrilled beyond speech I am that you liked this. You say I made your day, you have no idea how much you made mine.

Thank you so much for liking my Cordy.

Eee, girl, that's creepy! Great eye for detail. I could smell the harsh cleaner, feel the vision headache. Loved the way you described the lesson of the rebar, of her changing feelings for him and her fascination with his stuff. Cordelia is a snooper and you caught that here, but you did it without making her look like a fool. She knows what she's doing is wrong but he's just too interesting to stay away from. And that last line.... :shivers:

If Kelvis likes it, that's all I need to think this might have worked. Thank you so much for reading this, sweetie, considering how little time for fanfic you have these days. It means so much to me since you were the first person I 'met' when I came back online.
