Chris and Zach has just left Lamill, and were on their way back to Chris’s place, when they hear a young child’s voice call “Daddy!” from behind them
Zach looked back and saw a young blond child, no older than 4, running towards them. Zach turned back and saw a younger man walking towards them
‘Must be the little boys father’ Zach told himself
“Daddy!” The little boy repeated
A few moments later Chris stopped when he felt something tugging at his pant leg. He looked down only to see the little boy
“Daddy!” The little boy cried out happily, wrapping his arms around Chris’s leg
“No buddy, I think that’s your dad” Chis said gesturing to the man who had just passed them
“NO! You are my daddy! Mommy says so” The little boy said nodding
Zach chocked back a laugh and got down on one knee
“Where is your mommy?” He asked quietly
“Alex!” A voice called, from a few stores away “What are you doing! I turned away from you for 1 minute and you run off. I am so sorry about this, he usually never does this to people. Alex you need to let go of this man’s leg”
“No. You said he was my daddy”
Zach watched as the young woman lifted her gaze, eyes landing on Chris
“Chris Pine? Wow. Didn't think I would see you again”
Chris blinked and looked down at the blond head, still holding on to his leg
“This is...this is your son. Alex”
“Wait..my what?” Chris struggled to remember this woman, it didn’t help that Zach was watching him so closely
“Your son. You...you don’t remember me do you? Don’t remember what happened 3 years ago? A night out at The Viper Room You bought me a few drinks, invited me back to your place, we-”
“Yeah I can guess what we did”
Zach snorted again and looked away when Chris gave him a death stare
“I did the math Chris. It all adds up”
“Then...why didn’t you tell me?”
“Are you kidding? You were just about to film Bottle Shock. I didn’t...”
Chris once again looked down at the little boy. Same blue eyes, almost identical lips. Then everything came flooding back. She had been with her friends, him with his buddies in the VIP. He had seen her at the bar and had offered to buy her a drink and invited her and her friends to join him and his friends. They had danced closely and flirted all night. So when she asked to go someplace more quiet and private he nodded and they left together. Heading back to his place.
“Your Sarah right?”
Zach saw the young woman eyes light up, surprised he had remembered. She she smiled and nodded
“And you...must Alex” Chris said lifting the little boy up into his arms``I’m...daddy”
