my attempts at installing gentoo again tonight was fun...till it seemed my 20gig partition i setup for gentoo, became full? wtf? eh, whatever...ill get it workin maybe this weekend, maybe ill hit up the gentoo community on Livejournal and see if they can give me some pointers...yes, thats right, im actually asking a question, not researching it..im becoming a fucking troll :'(. i hate people who ask questions about linux, i taught myself Linux in somewhere around a month...without asking any questions what so ever, if i had a question, i googled it. if i had a problem, i looked at my distributions handbook...but i dunno, this is the first linux distribution i've ever had any problem with installing. and i've installed a shitload of distributions. and for some reason, the 2.4.x kernel while booting doesnt want to load my ethernet interface, and when i use net-setup, i choose the first option, ifconfig doesnt want to work either after...which is funny though, whenever i used 2.4 on Redhat or Slackware, it loaded my ethernet card modules fine, and autodetected DHCP, now all of a sudden the gentoo 2.4 build doesnt want to load right...whatever, 2.6 runs fine, other than not reading my ps2 mouse, but i can fix that after installation, no real use for a mouse when running from CLI, heh...
If i dont get it runninng by the time my bro hooks me up with the Slackware 10 Cd's, then im just going to install slack 10, and say fuck it...I am a true slackware user at heart anyways...
