Comment to this post with "Five Me" and I will list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be totally random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your LJ (or just add a reply back to me). Other people can get lists from you, and the meme merrily perpetuates itself.
So, these are the words I got from
sinadino: Jo, writing, uncle E, critters, and internship
1. Jo: the love of my life, my wife, my best friend. We met on Live Journal five years ago, and I doubt there's been very many days in that time that we haven't talked or communicated in some way. She's so very patient and understanding with me and all my quirks...I couldn't imagine my life without her. Of course, she's sitting right next to me, so I'm going to end this here. :p
2. Writing: one of my pastimes since 6th grade. Hopefully I've gotten better since then. ;) I get very attached to my characters, whether they're my original or not (Sam and Janet, for example, that aren't mine), and I adore being thought about as a writer.
3. Uncle E: one of my other best friends. I miss him! He lived with us for over a year, and I loved being able to just walk in the other room to talk to him anytime I wanted to (I did knock first, though :p). He's one of the sweetest guys I've ever known, my gay guy best friend (yeah, I know, but that's a good thing!), and I just talked with him on the phone not twenty minutes ago.
4. Critters: I'd love to write a novel with Jo, Tara, and the critters some day! The critters are damn awesome! :) Sina and Chion are more than pets - they're nuisances. :p Nah, they make stories funny, interesting, and heartwarming. Best part is, they were created by a great friend who draws awesome pictures of them! :)
5. Internship: Well, this one I have right now is GREAT. I'm at a counseling center where two of the professors at my university are therapists and the other therapist is awesome, too. I feel so safe, comfortable, and respected there. My supervisor asked for me specifically and affirms me almost daily. More than any other place I have worked, I feel as if this is what I am meant to be doing. Yes, some days are difficult, but it is all worth it.
