Bad, bad fangirl (Or, I watched DT again)

I watched DT again today.
In case you didn't know, DT is my all-time-favorite episode. Still in first place, sharing the top spot with the Pilot, since way back when.
That scene in the cabin, "...But the truth is they don't need you. Not like you need them. Sam? He's clearly John's favorite. Even when they fight, it's more concern than he's ever shown you..."
Guh.
These lines kill me ded every-freakin'-time. *sobs*

I keep whining about how great and wonderful s1 used to be. I remember going to lab every Wednesday (it used to be on Tuesdays, remember?) and just bounce with anticipation until the moment I got home and got to watch an episode. In fact, if labs weren't mandatory, I might have skipped it to watch the episodes as soon as I could.

That excitement, that 'I can't wait, get outta my way there's a new episode' thrill is gone for me. And after rewatching DT - my favorite episode - I've come to the conclusion that I'm a spoiled brat.

Cuz you know what? DT has some of my favorite scenes in it (I cringe when the semi hits every. Single. Time), it has some pretty dumb scenes there, too.
I mean, those demons fight and try to get out of the closet, but as soon as the salt is poured outside the closet, they stop fighting? WTH?
And there used to be possessions without the black smoke. And Bobby - expert demon hunter - was just... wee!Bobby. Seriously. Some really WTH moments there. And even after I've become a spoiled brat, I STILL think it's the best.

Which kinda makes me think, what other goodness I'm missing just cuz I'm being too critical?
I must admit, some episodes I enjoy far less than I enjoy kroki_refur's Episode Reviews of Doom. But I'm kinda sorry I got too sucked up into all the nitpicking that I miss a lot of the awesomeness that is Show.

I'm gonna have to rewatch just for rewatching sake. No looking for deeper meanings or anything.
Take for example Lazarus Rising. I rewatched it the other day (cuz the 'I'm an angel of the Lord' is awesome every time. Misha is totally pulling it off!), and right after Castiel says he's the one 'who grabbed Dean tight and pulled him from perdition', and right before Dean stabs him, Dean says this sarcastic 'thanks' and Castiel actually half-smiles and gives this little nod, almost like he doesn't understand Dean's being sarcastic. I totally missed it the first time, and I totally fell in love with this scene when I watched it again.

I'm missing all this good stuff, and I don't want to! I'm sorry for being bad, Show! Don't go away (bring back teh pretties!!)
