See, I immediately thought of ravens and crows and them being symbols of death and doom in a lot of lore. The sound was unnerving as hell.

Definitely thought of crows - those aren't soft angel's wings flapping - those are like The Birds -- frantic!

House of the Holys -- I always thought when the priest were telling the boys about Michael the archangel - that he was describing Dean. I may be wrong - but I believe the camera was on Dean during this description. From then on - my view of Dean was of that avenging angel.

I never thought about Mary's comments -- but they mentioned that many times -- very good!! I love the continuity.

HotH, for me, was all about Sam. I mean, for me, even that part at the end where Dean says it felt like God's will, I think he didn't really believe it. I think he just say it for Sam's sake. But I see your point.
