Writing meme - Day 9

Question 9: How do you get ideas for your characters? Describe the process of creating them.
Hey, that's the most fun part!
I get blindsided. Really, I do.
When my mind is empty, the stories just pop in. I see them, like I'm watching movies inside my head. The thing is, I have to write it down immediately, or it could be gone.
Sometimes, all I see is a line of dialogue or two. Sometimes, I'll see it all from beginning to end. That's kinda the downside, too, cuz if I see it all in one go, chances are I won't write it.
When it comes back to haunt me, or if I only caught glympses there's a better chance of me writing it down.
Question 10: What are some really weird situations your characters have been in? Everything from serious canon scenes to meme questions counts
*snorts* I love torturing my characters.
So you already know I had insane killer robots chancing my characters. And that I used to write fantasy. So I had this character in one of my fantasy stoies. He got a gem embedded in his hand, only it wasn't just a gem, it was a living being full of magic. So... pretty weird, right?
I also had a commentfic where Sam and Dean get whacked over the head repeatedly by gloves and books. I have no idea where I posted it though. Should have saved the link I guess. I had an elephant drop on top of Sam's head. A pink, fuzzy one, but still.
But I'm more of an angst girl than a crack girl, so... *shrugs*
