Whenver I listen to amazing music, I really feel like I can enjoy that moment and nothing else, in a way I never can otherwise ...

... in other news, Stu Wagner has been making bold moves on MSA. Moves that I think add up to him attempting to run for student body president in the spring. First example, despite being heavily and thoroughly involved with the MSA funding guidelines restructuring and budgeting process, Stuart randomly decides to attempt to amend the budget by taking away $5000 from MSA Sponsored Events and $5000 from something else (Committee Discretionary I think) to put those amounts into fall and winter Budget Priorities Committee (student org money). This was stupid, random, and really senseless, except for the fact that it gives him a (fucked up) way to say he was attempting to help students while MSA was serving itself, even though he knew it was illogical, unreasonable to attempt, and should deservedly get destroyed on the floor, which it did, he couldn't even secure a second for the motion, so it never even came to a vote.

The second, possibly more ridiculous thing he did was send this email out:

Target: All MSA Reps

Summary: As I stated at the meeting, please send me an update of any projects you have begun working on, or projects you would like to work on by Tuesday at 5 PM. These do not have to reflect your campaign goals in anyways, but they can. The commission is prepared to assist you in your work.

The CIC meeting is every Monday at 8:30 P.M. in MSA.

Cheers,

Stuart Wagner

... which, when I read it, indicates that he believes literally all elected members of the Michigan Student Assembly should be directly accountable to him, and for all he cares, only him. Luckily, everyone on MSA is thinking what the fuck/fuck stu. However, I'm fairly certain his plan is to spin this to the Daily and in a presidential campaign as MSA members being unaccountable and opaque, while he was attempting to make the body more transparent -- nevermind that his definition of transparent is transparent-to-him, or the fact that he's not going to do anything to seriously publicize the information once he receives it.

The question is, should I play his game and send him an update?
