FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT: Thank you to everyone for putting up with my flailing and experimenting. I AM SUPER-GRATEFUL FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND PARTICIPATION. ;^;b
RATHER I mean that it felt like all of the wolves and all of the sheep were on the same relative side. Which also works in a game, but again that tension seemed to be lost on me. Like, it didn't feel like there was particularly any advantage to an alliance or a lie! Which is fine, but also very. . . not CFUW to me. Basically, I guess, I felt that the game itself didn't add anything to the player dynamic which did not exist pre-game.
IT VERY WELL COULD HAVE I find the problem with storytelling games is that it is such a tricky balance since it isn't only the storyteller but also the players and that's always a very hard line to work.
Myyyy initial instinct is that a story like this wouldn't work well with cry wolf I DIDN'T PLAY OR READ ZAZZLE'S HORROR GAME so I don't reaaally know. But it seems almost better as an event unto itself :3
HAHA WELL I DON'T KNOW THE MONONOKE'S CANON 8D so I have no idea what you were going for there either. Maybe I would have gotten more if I was canon familiar?
I wouldn't write it off as failed. I certainly had fun futzing with people and playing vote tag with Raven, but if you were to ask me what the story was, or what the over all thrust of the game was I'm not sure I'd be able to answer and have relatively conflicting end result thoughts :? But it was fun and you're always a delightful GM so \o/
Idk, I am a a bit dissatisfied that apparently it's being compared to Zazzle's game, which is ... something I really didn't want to do at all, so at least in that aspect, I am counting it as a failure. And the rest of it was like ehhhhhh that didn't really work out either, huh, BLAH MAYBE I SHOULD JUST SCRAP THIS AND STICK TO DOING MORE STANDARD GAMES :|a
I can't really speak to that besides that I know both were supposedly FACE TO FACE HORROR EXPERIENCES but they were probably very very different besides the same basic scenery. IDK FOLLOW YOUR DREAM sometimes it works out as pictured, sometimes it requires adjustment! Scrapping it entirely would make it a bit sad, especially if it's something you really want to do. But if not, that's cool too \O_o/ I would always like your help with AUdie so ♥ !
Well, Risa was saying there were similarities? Which sort of makes me go :( in my heart a lot because I really hadn't wanted to do that. XD; IDK this wasn't like my dreeeeeeam or anything, but I got to run one, at least, even if it didn't turn out like I wanted. \o_O/ o-oh well. /o\
