General Update - 07.08.07
Haven't been updating much, 'cept for a post here and there. I usually try to keep my posts topic-specific, but that isn't really working well. Sure, things happen here and there, but usually nothing really so substantial that I feel the need to blog it. Other times I really do want to blog about something, but after typing for a bit, it just comes out as some crap nobody's going to give a fuck about anyway and gets flushed like so much shit.
And then there are the times where Jack's on the comp and I simply can't go online. Yeah, I know it's his computer, so he's got priority, anyway. But ya know, those 6-hour gaming binges get fucking stupid after a while.
(Though who am I to talk? I did the same thing when with City of Heroes before the time on my game card ran out. Currently, putting off buying more game time until I get some other things done. I know having a subscription sitting around is just going to be a big temptation to procrastinate.)
So, yeah. Jack's busy on his gaming binge again. His online friends started playing PlanetSide again, so well... he's back piloting his tank and leading his outfit in a never-ending fight against... well... they're not really evil. I guess 'opposing factions' would be a better term... Not as dramatic, but definitely more accurate a description.
And me? I'm back at the library comp whining about it again.
I need my own fucking computer.
So anyways, general update...
Engineering bro back in Canada after contract in China ended about a month ago. Flew in from Toronto on the 1st and stayed a week. Flew back today. Dumb luck in work schedule left only one day-off out of seven to actually do anything. So we went to Banff. In the rain. Not bad, but being a couple of thousand feet high and in the rain is kinda cold.
I hate my job.
Finishing drawing for Renn is taking longer than I had hoped. I guess since I had company over it's understandable, but still...
Toning down on posting webcomic-in-progress teasers and spoilers. Mostly 'cuz, well... honestly, no one really gives a damn... No wait, that's a lie. A couple of people actually do give a damn, so I'll probably send progress reports through e-mail or forum post or PM or something. 'Cuz really, opening an LJ post to comments only to get absolutely no feedback is rather disconcerting. Better to focus on the people who are interested rather than try to get the attention of people who don't give a rip.
Re-wrote the script for the beginning again however. At least, it's coming out as something I can work with.
Midway through overhauling the security and permission settings on DiFWy. Spammers shouldn't be a problem for now. We'll see how things go when I finish up all the changes. I'll make an official DiFWy announcement when I'm done.
