Dreamt of Paul last night.
We were in a field or garden or something. I remember a lot of grass and a few trees. I think it may have been a cemetery -- I vaguely remember a monument or two that may have been grave markers -- but it was way bigger than the one where Paul was buried.
In the dream, my cousin wasn't dead. But he wasn't alive, either. At least, not the 'everyday' kind of alive everybody is used to. He was more than alive. It's kind of hard to explain without pulling out Christian terminology, so I'll just say it... He was 'resurrected'. (If anyone's familiar with the 'Transfiguration', it was like I was looking at a 'transfigured' Paul.)
So we talked, in the dream that is. Nothing outstanding or infinitely insightful. No deep awe-inspiring wisdom from beyond the grave. Just friendly chatter.
He said he was alright. That he was busy and hadn't had a chance to go to heaven yet. (???) That he was still around to do and to see the things that he wanted to while he was still alive in his first life. (Apparently, getting around in a SmartCar. That was about when I clued in that I was dreaming.)
I wanted to talk to him more, but the dream faded away.
Some psychologist somewhere would probably have a field day with this.
I miss Paul.
