Sorry to hear about your situation. But hey, baking is productive and if you are very good at it, everyone loves a good bakery.
Unfortunately, like I said, people do drop off and disappear. It's a shame, though =(.
You should try e-mailing him! There's nothing to lose.
Me, I haven't really kept track of anyone aside from Akino, who's working as a substitute teacher and volunteers at a hospital on her offtime. College was a time-sink until I graduated (two BAs, so you can understand how busy I was), and I did get hired immediately after college and I'm still there. Can't say I expected quite the angle of cultural resource management, but I think I was always going to get into archaeology one way or another. It's a great job full of awesome people, even if I'm paid about half what I should be and have to work for three different sites. Worth the time and effort, even if most of the time I get off work wanting nothing more than to watch some Kamen Rider.
Hasn't been completely great, though. 2011 sucks and I got burgled and now I'm slowly saving for a replacement computer and tablet. Right now I'm accessing internet from a cheap $190 refurbished netbook and my cellphone acting as a wifi hotspot. There is more, of course, but I'm not comfortable discussing it in public due to security issues.
ETA: And, ack, sorry for the delay. I'm working on translating Tag Tamers in my extremely limited offtime and my brain's been on the fritz. Again, sorry! ETA2: Er, sorry, I completely missed the part about Facebook. Lack of sleep I think. Anyway, yeah, you're totally welcome to add me so long as you understand that I don't want fandom/rl streams crossing and will delete any public mention of my fandom work.
