Holy crap.

After 3 years, I still remember my password.

Not that anyone gives a crap, mind you.

Hey, Ajora.

I'd say I'm doing okay, but I'd be lying, since I've apparently left my sanity somewhere in the Prairies. I've moved back home, went back to school, and am currently being driven insane by my parents.

Oh, and I just took up baking and cake decorating this summer, since I haven't been able to find a summer job and my aunt felt teaching me would serve as an effective measure to stop the degradation of my sanity.

Except that I've discovered Duff Goldman and Charm City Cakes, so now I'm driving my aunt insane, wanting to try things with cakes that my aunt has no idea how to do.

That's the basic sum up of recent events, I think. I could probably ramble on about the specifics, but that'll probably just end up upsetting/depressing me.

As for the rest, Jack moved to Saskatoon to go back to school after we broke up, and ended up dropping out again. He's trying to get back in again though. We still keep in contact regularly via cel texts (but not as regularly as we used to since I've gotten emo and started avoiding my MSN).

T-2K I haven't talked to for a few months since I've been off MSN, but his life's been up and down the last while. Last I heard, he moved cities for a girl and went back to school in the process as well. He sounded like he was doing well with school. With the girl, not so much, but I'm hoping things have looked up since we last talked.

Cari/Carrie graduated from school and last I heard was working for the Washington Nationals, though doing what I'm not sure. I haven't really talked to her much (I mean, like really, *really* talked to her) since her blow up on my LJ a few years a back, though I comment now and again her FackBook every once and awhile.

I haven't talked to Jonath/Aspaerea in about as long, though we have 'friend'ed each other on FackBook and I remember seeing a status update saying he was going back to school. (I think I saw you guys 'friend'ing each other on his status feed awhile back too actually, but I didn't say anything 'cuz we were never really close and PMing you on FaceBook out of the blue felt forward and impolite (and I get neurotic about stuff like that).)

I'm not sure what happened to Renn. I've poked her on MSN a few times and e-mailed her on her birthday last year, but I haven't gotten a response from her. I regret horribly losing contact with her; Jack and I used to be pretty close with her. Now I feel like I've let her down 'cuz I haven't been around to talk to her and support her.

I actually logged back onto LJ looking if I can find some contact info on Griff. I remember him mentioning a long time ago that one of his dreams was to visit/review every major zoo on the planet on one epic world tour, but said he'd settle for a more realistic goal of visiting every major zoo in the continental U.S. I've recently discovered the concept of 'crowdfunding' and thought this might be something that would help him achieve that goal.

I think I still have his old e-mail, but I don't know if it's still active or not. I should try e-mailing him once I get over the whole neurosis about e-mailing someone I haven't talked to in years.

That's about all I know about people after DiFWy. I wasn't really close enough with anyone else to keep tabs on 'em.

How about you, Ajora? How're you doing? Better than me, I hope.

Sorry to hear about your situation. But hey, baking is productive and if you are very good at it, everyone loves a good bakery.

Unfortunately, like I said, people do drop off and disappear. It's a shame, though =(.

You should try e-mailing him! There's nothing to lose.

Me, I haven't really kept track of anyone aside from Akino, who's working as a substitute teacher and volunteers at a hospital on her offtime. College was a time-sink until I graduated (two BAs, so you can understand how busy I was), and I did get hired immediately after college and I'm still there. Can't say I expected quite the angle of cultural resource management, but I think I was always going to get into archaeology one way or another. It's a great job full of awesome people, even if I'm paid about half what I should be and have to work for three different sites. Worth the time and effort, even if most of the time I get off work wanting nothing more than to watch some Kamen Rider.

Hasn't been completely great, though. 2011 sucks and I got burgled and now I'm slowly saving for a replacement computer and tablet. Right now I'm accessing internet from a cheap $190 refurbished netbook and my cellphone acting as a wifi hotspot. There is more, of course, but I'm not comfortable discussing it in public due to security issues.

ETA: And, ack, sorry for the delay. I'm working on translating Tag Tamers in my extremely limited offtime and my brain's been on the fritz. Again, sorry!
ETA2: Er, sorry, I completely missed the part about Facebook. Lack of sleep I think. Anyway, yeah, you're totally welcome to add me so long as you understand that I don't want fandom/rl streams crossing and will delete any public mention of my fandom work.
