WoW expansion announced... so eh? New this, new that... just like BC.
My ideas or opinions on the subject:
Release date will coincide (compete with) Warhammer Online. So expect it
Q4 2007. Winterish.
New hero classes, although seem cool... you'll start seeing more of them
when they release more. The rumor is, one with each patch roughly 1-2
months. Reason being, who the hell wants to level anymore. Especially
with the new cap at 80. Basically, the quest will be HARD and expensive,
but will require no raiding and only doable after hitting 80. After that
you're able to create a DK, and it starts at level 58ish... right into
outland is the guess, or 70 and right into Northrend. There's some
logistics about it, that of course aren't announced, but... imagine trying
to gear up a completely new and naked character at 70. AH greens are going
to be expensive for a change.
The new profession will either be the new baseline for everyone, or will
be so prohibitively expensive that it'll broaden the gap even more between
the no-life hardcores and the casuals. For those who are wondering, the
new profession is called Inscriptions and it's used to increase current
skills and abilities. Like shaving off 1/2 a second off a cast time, or
adding a few percent to crit or it's spell damage coefficient.
2 weeks after it's released, Nihilum or Death n Taxes, (the hardcorest of
the hardcore raiding guilds) will down Arthas the Lich King. Everyone then
gets a "GAME OVER" screen and the credits roll.
I wish I could make a DK twink, but oh well.
I might come back IF, and only IF the new talents seem awesome (51 point
talents anyone?) and they make leveling 1-60 easier (which is another rumor)
For Del,
Enjoy 70 while you can! In a few months it'll be back to the grindstone!
