I've realized that my family has no standing traditions. We don't sit around the dinner table and say what we're thnakful for, we don't do any stupid Christmas-related things... instead we gather, cook, we and sit and talk. Family room chitchat, TV room with football and yells, basement young bucks with beer and cigarettes, kitchen guilt and awkward forced converstaion. This year, I will talk, smile and gush about my life, becasue I don't want to be whispered about by my aunts in the family room, or judged in the kitchen. I'll just eat, do the dishes, and pray that Kris is there, because I love him & is always up to interesting ventures.
