damned second X chromosome!

I'm betting that Well the miracle of womanliness strikes again, only this time I am saying AT LAST!!!! The cramps started last Monday and this morning, a full WEEK later I get actual bleed. Sadly the cramps have also cranked up another notch so I did not have a good night's sleep and am now periodically clutching my middle and yelling which does nothing good for DD's confidence poor lamb. The bleed was so long coming I actually thought about doing a pregnancy test. Glad now I didn't waste my cash. Also relieved as some of these cramps are horribly reminiscent of labour. Mother nature can go take a running jump, daft bint! What kind of a way is this to run a species for the love of Mike?! contains absolutely TMI for most readers with a Y chromosome. Take your chances all others.

On a better note we now have a Christmas tree and it has some decorations on it. DD is old enought to have claimed the bottom of the tree for herself this year and it is bauble central. Luckily I invested in some cheap but cheerful plastic balls so she can drop them all she likes and they won't break. I got to feel very great white hunterish on Saturday as I took the car and went and bought a tree and loaded it into the car and got it home all without incident. Big tree too! Also cheap as the stote clerk had no sense of scale and charged me for a 6footer when it is closer to 9. i also got a truly useful stand. It has bolts that you use to fix the trunk and a water reservoir to keep the thing from drying out too soon. With two people the tree took less than ten minutes to put up. That is a huge improvement on any previous record using a bucket and sand and rubble which was the usual method in previous years. Pity we haven't sent any cards yet or doen anythign else usefully Xmassy. Did arrange to arrange to get the car serviced before we drive to Dublin though - this is Ireland and nothing can be done in a direct way of course.

christmas, hormones
