Is sick.
Is tired.
Is sick and tired of being sick and tired!!!
On the plus side have not eaten solid food - successfully - for five days now so the February diet plan is off to a flying start. on the negative side
chefted came to our house last night and for a house warming gift cooked us a delicious gumbo and cornbread which I had been looking forward to for ages! and all I could do was watch and inhale. Am planning to have a bowlful tonight in spite of my tum because it is not a school day tomorrow so I don't have to drive anyone to school or pick them up and therefore any, erm, consequences, will call less collateral hassle. And GOD! the gumbo smelled good!
Went to see Sherlock Holmes on Sunday just before falling low with the dreaded lurgy and the memory has kept me warm all week. Loved it! And can only say that those who are bitching about it not being like the books need to read them more closely. What the film does is show us the dramatic bits that the books usually only refer to in passing and if the result is not very reminiscent of a Basil Rathbone flick then all the better for resembling the books really. Oh and slash goggles, totally unnecessary. It's beautifully done! To the pure all things are pure. But to people like me there is a deliciously rude movie going on. Sweet though too. I must admit to really rather loving it and I do hope those joyless twits who hold the Us rights don't bugger up a sequel.
