Maybe God does hate Ireland
The Westboro Baptists were big in the news last year with their 'God Hates Ireland' website (homosexuals in the Senate apparently = major smiting). But in the space of twelve months we have had our economy devastated, our football team denied a chance to go to the World cup because of a handball that makes Maradonna's 'Hand of God' look the picture of innocence and now the country is being flooded out. Cork is underwater. However DD's school has been flooded. Lord knows when they will be able to sort it out. The rain has stopped today but more coming tomorrow. The storms really were 'biblical'! Record rainfall this month up until yesterday and they are promising us possibly the match of that between yesterday and the end of next week. ... ! ... Er ... Help? I'd like to wake up now please, anytime now would be good.
