Have been getting some damned peeeeculiar results in memes lately. However this one is OK
Your Inner European is French!
Smart and sophisticated.
You have the best of everything - at least, *you* think so.
Who's Your Inner European? As for the rest of the week's news, have been pretty damn busy. It is the school Xmas Fair next weekend and I have been busy every evening making tree decorations and fretting over wrappings. Today was mostly spent at a fellow Mum's house making marzipan sweets - stuffed dates and chocolate coated marzipan balls. Mr Wol spent the afternoon minding BB who wanted to sleep (bet he won't tonight though :() and so missed out on his usual role as quality control (I hate marzipan but am good at making it and fellow Mum wouldn't taste test because of the raw eggs issue and her pregnancy) but we found volunteers. Now I think I now how to wrap them. Wish I was sure but will have to try it out on the actual choccies and they are still cooling at friend's place.
BB had his 9 month hearing test last Tuesday and as it clashed with DD's speech therapy session poor Mr Wol had to take the afternoon off to help out. Poor BB did not really approve of his testing, not when there were kids and great toys to play with in the waiting room. He flunked. Flunked as a stone deaf child would flunk but really he just wasn't interested in these weirdy women and their clackers and why did they keep waving toys at him he wasn't allowed to suck?! As I know he is not deaf, I am not too worried but they can't retest him until after Xmas annoyingly. I do know he can be rather mono-focused though and will doubtless have a good and solid line in 'lalalala I can't hear you!' as he gets older.
Class was good this week. The second of the group projects were running the session: theme Enid Blyton. They were amazing!!! They arrived insanely early and by the time I got there had set up the classroom with a picnic blanket and ham sandwiches, a North Tower tuck box and, yes, lashing of ginger ... er ... ale (well they tried!) They BAKED! And wonder of wonders the content lived up to the trappings. They worked the class hard and gave them some great insights and set off a feisty but managed discussion and data crunched a survey during the class time. I foresee good marks on the horizon!
Firefly game tonight. Cranford can take a running jump. I'll not watch another episode without hearing from others what it was like first, not after last week.
Meanwhile must make a point of going and checking my access filters now this flagging arsery in in operation. Can I say just how much I do not think allowing anonymous flagging is a good idea? No actually I can't. Too many reasons to list. unless they just want to do a la FF.net and get people to helpfully mark up their own journals for later deletion should the pron-sniffers get vocal. I am getting more and more annoyed with LJ as an environment but as yet most of the people I come here for are sticking so will probably not defect quite yet.
