hurrying underwater

Aug 22, 2006 21:12

Todayy has been a day of many little parts, all only partially successful. i have a thousand and one things to do before we try to drive to Dublin on Thursday - in what promises to be teeming rain, huzza! - and am insanely busy trying to do it all. Except that I am moving in slow motion. It's like trying to run underwater. I have a list and most of the things got crossed off today but God alone knows how. Obvously my brain ahs been replaced by a micro-black hole which is dilating my personal time.

Went to the doc today to get fresh bloods done. I am so crazy tired that I felt the need to get it checked out. I may have a kidney infection, which would explain a lot, but is far too convenient an answer to be true I suspect. Going to see Dr Harte perks me right up. He is a sweetie! and young and competent and with a sense of humour. He is the only doctor I have ever had that understands that I crack jokes when I am nervous and sick, so humour is not a therefore a sign of well being and a waste of their precious time.

Part of the tiredness is due to DD waking us all at 4.50 this morning. GAH!

Watching House now.
Time for bed.
