To celebrate the completion of my drink/smoke-free week, Thursday night I participated in Edward 40 hands. I was one of the first people to start and the last to finish. There was so much beer! Two 40s, a few tall boys and half a pack of cigarettes latter, I spent some time with a toilet and awoke to a very bad hangover the next morning. Just like freshman year! Thankfully, I had someone very nice and patient to take care of me:) I can be high maintenance in that state. I definitely wouldn’t want to take care of me.
I feel like the girl puking outside my window right now is also going to have a bad hangover in the morning. See, my friend Matt, who lives below me, is throwing a bachelor party (which has now become just a party party) for his brother’s friend Scott. Scott, who looks like he’s 25, is getting married to a Japanese girl today so all of Scott’s home boys and all of his bride’s home girls are getting shwasted off two kegs and some very strong, but delicious jungle juice downstairs. No one seems to notice that the music play list is on repeat. I’ve heard “Highway To The Danger Zone” and “Billy Jean” at least three times in the past hour.
Earlier tonight, after seeing the newest Harry Potter movie (which I enjoyed), I got offered $100 by Matt’s drunken bachelor party friends to take off my close and dance for them. I was flattered? I don’t know. But it was weird. It was one of those things where it’s kind of like a joke but not really. Anyways, if you must know, I didn’t do it - but I should have because I’m really broke right now and I need to buy foods so I won’t become malnourished and die. But I figure there are better ways to make money. Like playing my violin for people or becoming a roller skating waitress at a fifties restaurant. Actually, that would be a really awesome job! I want to become a roller waitress.
But yes. Crazy bachelor party/regular party. There are blow-up dolls and everything. It’s the first one I’ve ever seen in real life! So exciting! I wonder how late/early it will last?
I’m going to the Oregon Country Fair tomorrow with my Mom. I’m excited! I really hope it’s not sold out. I would be so disappointed. I should have reserved tickets a while ago but the whole no money thing didn’t really help. Wish me luck!
