Songs you should sample on iTunes:

- "100 Yard Dash" by Raphael Saadiq.  Gahd Damn.  This boy gives off this funky, soulful Motown vibe that can make just about anyone feel sexy.

- "Daydreaming" by P.T. Walkley. I'll warn you that it's bluegrassy and a HINT of country, but more banjo-y if you're into that sort of thing. It reminds me of summer and car rides with the top down.

- Okay, I am sort of obsessed with Raphael Saadiq.  Also take a listen to "People".  It's righteous and this guy's got SOOOOOUL. Sick beat.  It makes me want to get my groove on, and that says something.

- "Stepping Stone" by Duffy.  Yeah, yeah. "Mercy" is mad overplayed but I think this is my favorite song from the album. It's kind of smokey and I always enjoy a good bongo beat. I don't know, I really dig her vintage sound.

- "Worried" by Tyler Ramsey. It's just a really nice, acousticy song.  I totally feel his voice, it's calming and sort of rainy dayish but damn pretty nonetheless.

- "Me And You" by Barry Louis Polisar. This guy is... HILARIOUS.  I mean, this song is adorable (it's by the same guy who's on the Juno soundtrack.. actually.. is this song on there? I know "All I Want is You" is on there....) but I also have another song by him called "I Eat Kids" and, like I said, fucking hi-larity.  He apparently write children's songs, like a Raffi of sorts. I love him.

- "The Shining" by Badly Drawn Boy.  It's sort of emo, but in a better "Hey There Delilah" kind of way. I would imagine if I were in a movie, I'd be on a train on my way back to stop a boy that I love, who's on his way to catch up with me, and we meet and there's an embrace, maybe a bad freeze frame, end scene.  It's that kind of song.

- This is a given, but FUCKING JAI HO FROM THE SLUMDOG SOUNDTRACK. DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE THING. RIGHT NOW.  If you don't shake your goods to this song, I'd check the neurotransmitters in your brain that signal the GET DOWN AND BOOGIE synapse, or whatever.  LISTEN TO IT!!

- "I Think I Need a New Heart" by The Magnetic Fields.  I will always advocate the listening of 69 Love Songs til the day I die. This just came on my playlist today and it makes me so freaking happy.

- And of course, I WANT IT ALL FROM THE HSM3 SOUNDTRACK.  Get this fucking song off my iTunes and out of my playlist. I jogged to it today ... twice.  So help me god, this is bad.

I really want a dance party. Like a bad, shameless dance party. Drinks a flowing, and many, many repeats of Sexy Back.
