I'm a serious travel bug. As a child my family moved around a whole lot due to my dad being in the army. We ended up living in Jakarta, Indonesia for eight years and so I got to know a lot of friends all of the world, a few who I still keep in contact with (I really wish I was better at keeping contact with people though since there are too many good friends I've just lost contact with) and I've been catching up with those in the US while I'm over here.
Most of the funds for this trip came from my money my grandmother left for my education. My degree from ECU really didn't use up much of that so I decided to go do some classes in at NYU in New York which brought me to the US and I figured I better catch up with friends while I'm over there. I'm crashing at their houses (or family reunion beach houses) so since I've left New York things have been pretty cheap. Due to the way the airfares went it was cheaper for me to stop off in London than to go straight home (because I qualify for an around the world ticket). Luckily it turns out Dani is going to be there so I'm catching up with her.
