Going from bad to (hopefully) good

Well last week was really shit. Why? Well my dog survived two strokes and was starting to make a good recovery (not a complete one but one where she could continue to have a decent quality of life) when she drowned in the pool.

I loved Gypsy, she was very forgiving when i didn't give her that treat. xx

I loved her too. She was a great dog. I really wish I had actually filmed her a bit with my camera. She was a frequent test subject of me trying out camera settings and such but unfortunately I don't think I ever put it to tape.

my condolences for the loss. its surprisingly hard to explain just how much an animal can mean to you, but you've done it beautifully.

Thanks. That's really nice to hear seeing as the post was kind of quickly written to just get it off my chest. Life without a pet just seems so weird at the moment. I never realised how much crumbs I left on the floor and we had to replace the battery on our doorbell.

yeah, i know what you mean. i lost my last dog (Jet - lab/doberman cross) around easter last year. having spent the last year and a half shooting two tv shows, where i'd come in and relax after shooting watching tv with him at my side. it was totally weird after he was gone, so yeah, i know exactly what you mean.

Sorry about your canine companion, mate. But cinematography courses in the U.S.? Colour me impressed! We soo have to have a Suite Madness shindig before you go... or alternatively a major Bingo Mafia session. And congrats on the short film. Wow, at least someone has been active.

I had actually planned to come down for bingo last Thursday but after Gypsy's death I just felt like staying home with the family.

i'm so sorry to hear about her, sam. the loss of an animal companion is one of the hardest things, but she lived a good life being deeply loved and cared for by you and your family. i hope you're doing better now. lots of hugs.
