Skunk Problem
I arrived home from work late this evening and there was a skunk sitting in my front yard. I drove to work today because I was out running around before hand, so I sat there for a few minutes with my lights shining on it hoping that it would get up and wander away. Eventually it stood up and I could tell that it looked all beat up. It got up and started to wobble slowly then fell back on its side. This skunk is not doing well at all. I figured I was safe to get out of my car considering I was quite a few feet away from it. I could tell it is ill and knew that I had time to get away and was not close enough if it were to spray. I got Erik to come outside to see the skunk and I called the Plymouth police to see if there is any type of animal control to come get it. They gave me a number for a company called Varmit Police. I called them and was told that it would cost me $160 to have someone come out and take care of the skunk. I thought that was absolutely insane. So the skunk is still out in my front yard. It will get up and walk around a little but then fall over. I just really wanted the skunk to be taken care of. Not only do I not want my dog to get sprayed(which happened last summer and was horrible) but I also feel really bad watching the skunk suffer.
