Who knew that Maury Povich ever was a game show host. The show is Twenty-One he hosted, guess I missed that one. I just recently changed my internet, home phone and cable tv to WoW and now have the game show network. I have to say I am hooked. When I was young I was raised in latchkey during the school year and stayed at my grandmother's house during the summertime. When my brother and I stayed at my grandma's we never really were outside because she didn't want to stay out with us to keep an eye on us. Back in my early day the USA channel had game shows on all through the afternoon. After lunch and the noon news we would have quiet time and that is what I would watch. I think honestly it was because grandma wanted to rest because my brother and I were clearly too old for naps or so to say to would not need them. My parents were rather poor when we were young so never had cable. Grandma had cable so it was a special treat. Although I was never allowed to watch MTV(thanks to Madonna), when my Grandma was not in the room I would secretly switch it on. I will never forget the video for material girl. Kinda of funny that I always thought she was saying "Cheerio Girl". Well anyways my entire reason for my rant and ramble is that my absolute favorite gameshow back in that day was Press Your Luck. There is a new version right now on GSN. I gotta say I love those Whammies!
