(no subject)
hej allihop! Well... I had a very interesting day! My morning started out great... I got up early and talked to Logan, and my brother and syd and cool people like that online and it made me really happy... And then I go to leave for school... I have to leave pretty early cause its about a 15 minute bike ride... Anyway, I go to leave and I find that Karin (my host mom) has locked the the door from the outside...
Now to fully understand this you need to understand my keys... They are like oldfashion metal keys... The kind most people have only seen in pictures... I was really exited about it at first but then I discovered that oldfashioned keys mean oldfashioned locks and those seem to jam a lot... and I thought it was cool that everyone is sweden had these keys but when i said this to my friends at school they just looked at my funny and held up their normal keys...
Ok anyway, when you lock the door from outside you can't open it from inside unless you have the special long key.. Which I don't have... So I was like uhh ok I guess I will just go out the other door and then walk around the house to get my bike. You can open the other door with the short key but no one ever uses that door. So I go to the other door and put my key in and try to turn it. Remember how I said those old locks get stuck really easily? Well they usually do this when there is no key in it... but just my luck my key gets stuck in the lock and I for the life of me, I can't open it. So there are only two doors and one I can't open and one has my key stuck in it.
It would have been a humorous situation if I wasn't going to be late to school... I have already missed two days this week so it would have been bad to miss another one. Plus I am not really happy with my house and my host mom. Most of you don't know this but the house I live in = not my ideal house.
Ok so anyway.. I tried calling my host mom but her phone was busy and she was on her way to a town about 3 hours drive away for a special meeting... But because she wouldn't answer I called my rotary councilor who is also my school councilor and my Biology teacher (He is a wonderful person and just for the record... I would die in here with out him and his family) Anyway.. So I called him and explained how I could not unlock the door and he said he would come and I could pass a key to him through the window... So after I explained that the only key was stuck in the other door he said he would come and help me. So once he came we figured that the only way for me to get out was to climb through the window... So after climbing out of the window... and scraping my arm, I got out of the house.
But my rotary councilor had great news for me! He has found me a new family for me to live with. I hate the one I am with now and I was supposed to be here all year and so getting a new family was great great great news for me! So anyway it was just a really annoying morning. If was I wasn't so grossed out by this house or how much I dislike my host mom in the first place before she locked me in the house it would have been much more amusing... Ok I love you all! Please comment to these entries if you read them just so i know that people do read them! I hope everyone had a lot of fun at homecoming!
